Como cada Nochevieja, el canal aleman 3sat (en abierto y en HD por el satélite Astra 19.2ºe), emite el clásico maratón de conciertos "Pop around the clock" que cumple ahora 20 años ininterrumpidos.

Se incluye al icono de la música alemana Herbert Grönemeyer con un concierto al aire libre de 2002 de su gira "Mensch", así como a la banda de pop noruega a-ha con los mejores momentos de su película concierto "True North". Un punto culminante absoluto es también la aparición de la legendaria banda de rock Queen, que interpreta sus grandes éxitos junto a su deslumbrante cantante Adam Lambert. Además, Jennifer Lopez muestra su talento cantando y bailando en uno de sus primeros grandes conciertos en directo de 2001 en Puerto Rico. Fleetwood Mac, la diva del pop Céline Dion, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Sarah Connor, AC/DC y muchos más también emocionarán con sus conciertos.
