DESCRIPTION:Pedro Almodóvar regresa al melodrama íntimo con «Amarga Navidad», una película sobre el duelo, la creación y la difícil frontera entre la vida propia y la ficción. Elsa, una directora de publicidad interpretada por Bárbara Lennie («Magical Girl»), atraviesa una pérdida que no sabe afrontar y se aferra al trabajo hasta que el dolor termina abriéndose paso. La película alterna esa historia con la de Raúl, un guionista y director encarnado por Leonardo Sbaraglia («Relatos salvajes»), que encuentra en la autoficción una salida a su bloqueo creativo. A su alrededor aparecen su compañero, interpretado por Quim Gutiérrez («Primos»), y su ayudante, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón («Madres paralelas»), dentro de un relato que observa cómo la memoria, el deseo de contar y la culpa pueden mezclarse hasta resultar inseparables.\nLa banda sonora, compuesta por Alberto Iglesias, complementa los impresionantes paisajes volcánicos de Lanzarote que juegan un papel clave en la trama.\n
